The smart home lab provides a research facility for co-creating, developing, testing and evaluating research within a home environment.
Focus on research for supporting independent living for aging population and those living with disabilities, and their care circles.
The lab is built as a 3 bedroom bungalow that is wheelchair accessible with the addition of stairs.
Initial equipment includes wide range of sensors for monitoring environment and people internally. Designing technology and solutions for retrofitting into peoples homes.
Fully functional with potential for participants staying overnight.
